Natural place “La Videman”
<p>Accessible via the Rougemont cable car, the Videman offers an incredible view of the Gummfluh and the Pierreuse nature reserve! A perfect natural place to recharge your batteries or enjoy the fresh air on a hot summer’s day.</p>
During the summer months, take the Videmanette cable car to this little paradise: La Videman! From the top of the station, walk about 15 minutes on a mountain path to get there. When the lift is closed, you can hike from the lift car park or from the entrance to the nature reserve at Gérignoz.
Here you are in the wide green areas of the Videman. From your position, discover the Gummfluh, the emblematic mountain of the Pays-d’Enhaut, from a completely different angle. The proximity to the mountain allows you to discover all its specificities.
At the base of the rocky massif, you can see the heart of the Pierreuse nature reserve. This is where many animals such as marmots and chamois enjoy the pastures and stonework. Take a pair of binoculars with you to have fun spotting them between two rocks or during their food break!
Strange coloured birds are about to take off? You are very close to the paraglider take-off area! Sit down in the tall grass and enjoy the show.
<p>RECOMMENDATIONS :</p> <p>– Accessible in summer and autumn with a hike.<br /> – the cable car is open during July and August.</p> <p>ACCESS & PARKING :</p> <p>– by car: possibility to leave your car for free at the Videmanette car park.<br /> – by train: via the MOB line from Montreux to Zweisimmen (stop “gare de Rougemont). It takes 5 minutes to get to the start of the cable car.</p>
