This route is located to the north-east of Château-d'Œx and goes around the Tête de la Laitemaire. It is signposted from the village centre.
You start your route by warming up in the streets of Château-d'Œx until you reach the Palaz district. Once you have reached the first climb, your legs will be ready for the rest of the route.
<p><strong>Distance and duration</strong><br />Around 25 km to be completed in 3 to 4 hours, depending on your pace and scenic breaks.</p> <p><strong>Elevation gain</strong><br />Approximately 1,000 m of total ascent, suitable for mountain bikers with good physical condition.</p> <p><strong>Highlights along the route</strong><br />Open views over the peaks of the Pays-d’Enhaut, traditional alpine pastures and a wild mountain atmosphere around La Laitemaire.</p> <p><strong>Access and logistics</strong><br />Start and finish in Château-d’Œx, easily accessible by train or car. It is recommended to check trail conditions early in the season and after heavy rainfall.</p>
