Rougemont-Videmanette Summer Challenge
<p>Between the 27th June and the 30th August, the Rougemont-Videmanette Summer Challenge invites runners, hikers and mountain lovers to take on a demanding alpine route at their own pace. Starting in Rougemont, participants climb towards La Videmanette and are rewarded with sweeping views of the surrounding peaks.</p>
The Rougemont-Videmanette Summer Challenge is a summer trail event combining effort, fun and mountain spirit. The concept is simple: a 7 km route with 1200 m of positive elevation gain, almost entirely on mountain paths, leads from Rougemont to the top of La Videmanette.
Thanks to chip timing, participants can start freely during the challenge period. The goal is to set your best time, challenge friends or simply enjoy the climb in a spectacular alpine setting. With up to 5 attempts included, everyone has the chance to come back and improve their performance.
The challenge is open to a wide range of participants: experienced runners, young athletes, walkers, Nordic walkers, mixed duos and teams of family members, friends, clubs or companies. Category rankings add to the excitement, with prizes for the best times and a souvenir gift for participants.
