Rossinière Celebration & Closing of Le Royaume des Chats
<p>On 12 September 2026, Rossinière celebrates the end of the exhibition « Le Royaume des Chats » with a festive, gourmet and musical day.</p>
On 12 September 2026, the charming village of Rossinière will be dressed in its finest colours for “Rossinière en fête”. From 10 am, stroll among the centuries-old chalets and explore the “Marché pétolet”, where local artisans and creators will welcome you in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Throughout the day, a varied programme of entertainment awaits visitors of all ages. Children’s activities and live music from the Pays-d’Enhaut will keep the festivities going, while lovers of local flavours can enjoy a wine tasting and beer bar from 10 am.
The day also marks the closing of the open-air exhibition “Le Royaume des Chats”. At 5 pm, don’t miss one of the highlights of the festivities: the announcement of the 2026 King or Queen of the Cats, chosen through votes cast throughout the summer, followed by the presentation of the sceptre created by Balthus’ daughter.
The celebrations continue from 7.30 pm with live music from the “Naty Jane Quartet”. To round off this festive day, hot food will be served at lunchtime and in the evening, with a bar open throughout the day.
