Young officers Ferrando and Guglielmo make a bet with the cynical Don Alfonso that their fiancées, Fiordiligi and Dorabella, will remain faithful to them. To put their love to the test, they pretend to leave for war before returning disguised as strangers. Each then sets out to seduce the other’s fiancée. But what begins as an innocent game soon gives way to doubt, desire and unexpected revelations about the nature of love.
Sparkling, playful and filled with Mozart’s sublime music, Così fan tutte comes to life in Phelim McDermott’s imaginative production. The story is transported to a 1950s Coney Island amusement park, creating a performance that is as visually captivating as it is musically impressive.
