Louis Jucker Concert : Suitcase Suite
<p>At CinEden in Château-d’Œx, Louis Jucker opens his suitcases for an extraordinary concert blending folk, sonic experimentation and poetry. An inventive and moving musical experience.</p>
Some musicians play guitar, piano or drums. And then there is Louis Jucker, who prefers to open suitcases and discover the stories they have to tell. For Suitcase Suite, the artist from Neuchâtel transforms around fifteen second-hand suitcases into extraordinary instruments: guitar, bass, harp, synthesiser and unexpected sound objects all come to life in his hands.
A singer, songwriter, composer and co-founder of Hummus Records, Louis Jucker creates at the crossroads of folk, rock, experimental sound and visual arts. Winner of the Swiss Music Prize in 2021, he crafts delicate and unusual songs in which creaks, vibrations and rattles become part of the music.
