Balloon Train to Château-d’Œx

<p><strong>Dates</strong></p> <p>Saturday 23 and 30 January, and Sunday 24 and 31 January 2027.</p> <p><strong>Timetable</strong></p> <p>Departure from Bulle at 08:20 and return to Bulle at 14:41.</p> <p><strong>Daily programme</strong></p> <p>At 08:20, depart from Bulle railway station and enjoy coffee and a croissant on board. Arrive in Château-d’Œx at 09:21 and explore the International Balloon Festival at your leisure. At 12:20, return to Château-d’Œx railway station for a fondue served aboard the stationary heritage train. Depart at 13:40, with dessert served during the return journey, and arrive in Bulle at 14:41.</p> <p><strong>Departure point</strong></p> <p>Bulle railway station, platform 7, subject to change. Boarding begins 15 minutes before departure.</p> <p><strong>Prices</strong></p> <p>Adults aged 12 and over: CHF 89.00</p> <p>Children up to 12 years old: CHF 69.00</p> <p>Children up to 6 years old, without a meal: free of charge.</p> <p><strong>Optional mini-brunch</strong></p> <p>Enjoy a friendly mini-brunch in the train's lounge carriage for CHF 15.00 per person. Places are limited and advance booking is required.</p> <p><strong>What's included</strong></p> <p>The ticket includes a return journey on the heritage train between Bulle and Château-d’Œx, coffee and a croissant, admission to the International Balloon Festival, a traditional moitié-moitié cheese fondue or cold meat platter, and a meringue with double cream for dessert. A Frimobil day pass, valid for second-class travel across all Frimobil zones on the day of your excursion, is also included.</p> <p><strong>What's not included</strong></p> <p>Additional drinks are not included in the ticket price.</p> <p><strong>Discounts</strong></p> <p>No discounts are available for holders of the Swiss Travel System General Abonnement (GA), Half Fare Travelcard or Junior Travelcard.</p> <p><strong>Reservations</strong></p> <p>Reservations can be made until the Tuesday before your trip via the TPF online booking platform or at TPF ticket offices in Bulle, Châtel-St-Denis, Estavayer-le-Lac, Fribourg, Palézieux and Romont.</p> <p><strong>Payment conditions</strong></p> <p>For payments by invoice, the payment deadline is 10 days from the date of booking.</p> <p><strong>Alternative to fondue</strong></p> <p>A cold platter featuring a selection of cured meats, ham, salami, dried bacon, dry-cured ham, dried meat and carrot salad can be selected instead of fondue when booking.</p> <p><strong>Cancellation by passengers</strong></p> <p>Cancellations are accepted until the Sunday before departure. Affected passengers will be contacted at the beginning of the week before the scheduled weekend and offered an alternative date. If no alternative date is suitable, a full refund will be provided.</p> <p><strong>Accessibility</strong></p> <p>Due to its historic design, the heritage train is not wheelchair accessible.
