The celebrations begin at noon with a large communal table set up along the Grand Rue, bringing together locals and visitors around the village’s restaurants. In the afternoon, the village square becomes the centre of the festivities, with children’s activities, the famous Glaces du Berceau, alphorn performances, traditional flag throwers from the Pays-d’Enhaut and musical entertainment.
Later in the day, the traditional parade of local societies makes its way from Les Bossons to the village square. The official ceremony, accompanied by La Montagnarde, official speeches and the Swiss national anthem sung by the public, continues the celebration in a spirit of tradition and community.
The evening continues with an aperitif offered to residents and visitors, followed by another gathering around the communal table in the Grand Rue and live music by the folk orchestra La-Fa-Mi Tille.
