Alpine Cheese Trails | Alpine Night at Pâquier-Mottier
<p>Walk to Pâquier-Mottier, share an alpine dinner, spend the night on straw or in a rustic bed and discover the daily life of a cheesemaker.</p>
Let the trails lead you to Pâquier-Mottier, an alpine farm nestled in the peaceful landscapes of Pays-d’Enhaut. Here, the views open up, the pace slows down and simple pleasures take centre stage.
After a round-trip hike of 3 to 3.5 hours, a warm alpine welcome awaits. Dinner is shared in a friendly atmosphere, with generous and authentic mountain flavours. It is a special moment to talk about life at altitude, cheese-making traditions and the daily work of local producers.
At night, settle down on straw beneath the beams of an old farm building. For a little more comfort, a rustic bed may also be available depending on availability. In the morning, wake up gently to an alpine breakfast made with simple, local products. A genuine, tasty and refreshing escape close to the mountains.
<p><strong>Dates</strong></p> <p>The experience is available from 1 to 31 July 2026.</p> <p><strong>Participating alpine pasture</strong></p> <p>The experience takes place at Pâquier-Mottier, in L’Etivaz.</p> <p><strong>Duration</strong></p> <p>The hike lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours round trip, depending on the chosen route. The stay runs from 5 pm to 10 am the following day.</p> <p><strong>Included in the offer</strong></p> <p>The offer includes the round-trip hike, dinner, overnight stay in the alpine pasture, breakfast and cheese-making demonstration.</p> <p><strong>Conditions of participation</strong></p> <p>The experience is suitable for families. Dogs are not allowed. A maximum of 8 people is possible per booking.</p> <p><strong>What to bring</strong></p> <p>Good walking shoes and a sleeping bag are required to fully enjoy the experience.</p>
