They&#8217;re called &#8220;tavillons&#8221; !<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tavillonnage&#8221; is a wood-based technique for covering and waterproofing roofs and facades that has been used for centuries in our mountain regions. This ancestral know-how is the trade of the &#8220;tavillonneur&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The choice of wood, splitting and preparation of the shingles all take place in winter. We invite you to find out more about this &#8220;tavillon splitter&#8221; activity. Most of this work is still done by hand, and requires a good knowledge of wood and its characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll meet the &#8220;splitters&#8221; who will explain their trade and its secrets to you! This is a unique opportunity to meet enthusiasts who practise one of the oldest trades in our region. arrival, the service provider will not deduct any charges.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the event of late cancellation or amendment or no-show, the full amount of the booking will be
