Looking to slow down and experience alpine life from the inside? The Alpine Cheese Trails take you to the heights of Pays-d\u2019Enhaut, where passionate producers keep local cheese-making traditions alive.<\/p>\n

After a round-trip hike of 1 to 4 hours, depending on the route chosen, you reach a chalet where L\u2019Etivaz AOP is still made by hand. In large copper cauldrons heated over a wood fire, this iconic cheese reveals a savoir-faire passed down with patience and pride.<\/p>\n

On arrival, enjoy a warm mountain welcome: cheese-making demonstration, alpine-style evening meal, night on straw and homemade breakfast. Two experiences are available in 2026: Belles Combes in Rougemont, from 1 to 30 June and from 1 to 31 August, and P\u00e2quier-Mottier in L\u2019Etivaz, from 1 to 31 July. Participating Alpine Farms<\/strong><\/p>\n

The experiences take place at Belles Combes in Rougemont and P\u00e2quier-Mottier in L\u2019Etivaz. The overnight stay on straw at Belles Combes is available from 1 to 30 June and from 1 to 31 August 2026. The alpine overnight experience at P\u00e2quier-Mottier is available from 1 to 31 July 2026.<\/p>\n

Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n

The hike takes between 1 and 4 hours round trip, depending on the route chosen. The stay runs from 5:00 pm until 10:00 am the following day.<\/p>\n

The experience includes the round-trip hike, dinner, breakfast, an overnight stay on straw and a cheese-making demonstration.<\/p>\n

Participation conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n

The experience is suitable for families. Dogs are not allowed. A maximum of 8 people can be booked per reservation.<\/p>\n
